Another weird contraption made in Japan

A company called Omni has brought the Japanese fascination for gadgets to an all time low with its introduction of the Beauty Lift High Nose.

Returning to those colorful days of yesteryear in America when snake-oil salesmen claimed their bogus elixirs cured everything from warts to cancer, this gadget claims that it can raise the bridge of the human nose without plastic surgery by vibrating the nose and stimulating the bone.

One might ask, first of all, why would anyone want to raise the bridge of their nose, and secondly, why that same person would think that vibrations would make any bone grow or change shape?

The answer to both questions is not blowing in the wind. The only way to change the shape of a nose is via plastic surgery. For those who believe otherwise and would like to give this product a chance it doesn’t deserve, it will cost $144.

By simply slipping the gadget in place and turning on the switch on the front of the frame, with just a few minutes of use every day, the Beauty Lift High Nose claims it can create the perfect profile.

Its “magic” lies in the application of gentle electric vibrations from the bottom, side and front.

Made from silicone and steel, the gadget measures 2.8 x 2” x 2.8” and it runs on a lithium battery, which is included with purchase.

Caveat emptor nose or the nose knows (or at least should).
