google translate does beatbox too

Through some crafty manipulation of consonants and plosives, Google Translate can be made to spit out intricate beats - much like a human beatbox. Want to know how? Read our guide...

1. Go to Google Translate

2. Set both the translate 'From' and 'To' options to German

3. Copy and paste the following text into the translate box: pv zk pv pv zk pv zk kz zk pv pv pv zk pv zk zk pzk pzk pvzkpkzvpvzk kkkkkk bsch (or you could just click this link, if you're feeling lazy_

4. Click 'Listen'

Boom chicka wah!

Google's translate service is usually used by those learning new languages to improve their pronunciation as it can accurately recreate words through pre-recorded sounds.

But thanks to a Reddit user with too much time on their hands who spotted the function, the application's beat-making capabilities are now available to everyone.

Googleboxing can be experimented with endlessly - here's a guide to basic instrument and rudiment notation:

zk = cymbal
bk = bass
bschk = snare
pv = brush
tk = flam
krp = hi hat tap
pv = short roll
th = better hi hat
thp, ds = instant rimshot
