Chinese man suffered four years with a broken knife lodged in his face

Li Fuh of Yuanjiang County, Yunnan Province was stabbed in the face during a robbery more than four years ago while working as a cab driver. At the time, the 37 year-old-man was treated at a local hospital where doctors cleaned his wound and gave him disinfectant shots.

The assailant was later apprehended carrying the broken knife handle but the blade was never recovered. Its whereabouts remained a mystery until Li made a recent trip to the hospital complaining of headaches and a bad taste in his mouth.

Freak Carnival accident kills 16 in Brazil

At least 16 people were electrocuted during a parade before the carnival to come upon them a public lighting cable.

The exact cause of the crash is unknown at this time. But a police spokesman said witnesses reported that a high voltage electric cable threw sparks and fell over the crowd after being beaten metal streamers and fireworks.

At least 54 other people were injured, some seriously, police officials said the small town of Bandeira do Sul, Minas Gerais, north of Rio de Janeiro, where the accident occurred last night.

Wolf girl happy she's the most popular girl in school

Her nicknames may include 'wolf girl' and 'monkey face'.

But 11-year-old Thai girl Supatra Sasuphan today insisted that she was after being officially recognised as the world's hairiest girl.

Although the schoolgirl from Bangkok has faced merciless teasing at school, Supatra says being given a Guinness World Record for her hair has helped her become extremely popular.

'I'm very happy to be in the Guinness World Records! A lot of people have to do a lot to get in,' she said. 'All I did was answer a few questions and then they gave it to me.'

Supatra is one of just 50 known sufferers of Ambras Syndrome - caused by a faulty chromosome - to be documented since the Middle Ages. Before the disease was understood, sufferers were branded 'werewolves.'
